THE ADA: Knowledge Is Power
Now that the digital age has well and truly arrived, individuals and corporations alike are beginning to grapple with the barrage of issues that shape their access to the benefits of digital technology. Australia's copyright laws are the chief means by which we as a society regulate the creation and distribution of knowledge. The effects of a misguided copyright regime would be dire and create enduring harm to our education system, our economy and our culture.
The ADA is a non-profit coalition of public and private sector interests formed to promote balanced copyright law and provide an effective voice for a public interest perspective in the copyright debate. ADA members include universities, schools, consumer groups, galleries, museums , IT companies, scientific and other research organisations, libraries and individuals.
